Holland Lake Park

While I was waiting for my morning session to begin at the park, it took a few shots of the historic cabins at Holland Lake Park.

Doing It In Style

There are so many details that a bride must consider when planning her special day. Besides the big stuff like location and food, the decorations are pretty important as well.  What decor will perfectly set the tone for the special event?  Everything from the pew bows to the table centerpiece at dinner. There's a lot to consider.

Besides the bride and groom, this blog series showcases some of the other details we've captured at a wedding....the decorations.

The Men Behind The Masks

Have you ever wondered what the guys behind the scary masks and make-up really look like? Here are some photos that show you just that.

Hauntober

It's that time of year again. Season of the witch,
ghost, goblins and all that is creepy.
All great fun!

Fall has always been one of my favorite times of the year.  As a young kid I always enjoyed Halloween a great deal. I grew up in the 80's, never missing the opportunity to catch showings of  those horror cult classics like Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, just to name a few.  Back in the day I was known to borrow my parents huge video cam-corder and make a cheesy homemade horror short film.  It's so embarrassing to look back at those now.  In this age of technology it's so easy for us to now shoot video clips using our handy cell phones.    Video editing apps now enable us to create relatively impressive movies with fancy transitions, sound FX's and music.  I decided to have a little fun when we visited Six Flags, Fright Fest a few weeks ago.  While walking through one of the 4 haunted attractions Six Flags has, I decided to video behind my son as he cautiously explored the path. The video was shot using the vintage style FX's of 8mm camers. I then used iMovie to clip & splice the video into a 1 minute 37 seconds of pure terror.... ok maybe not terror.  lol   Take a look.

Fun Day Friday

Apology Letter To Spouse - PRICELESS!

Hi Sweetheart,

I am sorry about getting into an argument about putting up the Christmas lights.  I guess that sometimes I feel like you are pushing me too hard when you want something.  I realize that I was wrong and I am apologizing for being such a hard-headed guy.  All I want is for you to be happy and be able to enjoy the holiday season.  Nothing brightens the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights!  I took the time to hang the lights for you today; and now I will be off to the hockey rink.

Again, I am very sorry for the way I acted yesterday.  I'll be home later.

Love you..

Her response -
Hi Honey,

Thank you for that heart-felt apology.  I don't often get an apology from you, and I truly appreciate it.  I, too, felt bad about the argument and wanted to apologize.  I realize that I can sometimes be a little pushy.  I will try to respect your feelings from now on.  Thank you for taking the time to hang the Christmas lights for me.  It really means a lot.  In the spirit of giving, I washed your truck for you; and now I am off to the mall.

I love you too!
