ORPHAN

When I was growing up I was such a huge horror movie buff. Every time a new scary move came out I had to rent it. In the 80's 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' was the biggest horror franchise & I can tell you how many times I saw each of those. Even though I wouldn't ever hurt anyone, I think I had my parents scared I would turn out violent. I just like to be scared & enjoyed the excitement of a good scary movie. Having seen most of the horror films out there, I have to say I saw one of the best scary movies I've seen in a long time. This week I watched 'ORPHAN' & it really ranked up there with some of the classic scary movies of the past. It's hard to know if you like a movie just by the trailer. Even the worst movies can look great in a nicely edited trailer with all the best scenes crammed into 2 minutes. This film wasn't one of those typical cheesy blood & guts horror flick. Don't get me wrong, it did have it's share blood & many disturbing scenes with violence. As disturbing as many scenes were, this movie kept me on the edge of eat wondering what was going to happen next. If you are a fan of scary movies, then this is a must see. Here is a funny skit from Jimmy Kimmel.

Daria & Jonathan

Daria & Jonathan's engagement photos were taken at his family ranch in Lone Camp. To hopefully beat the heat we planned to start shooting at 7:30 am. 10 minutes in the session all 3 of us were melting. Texas heat is something else. A narrow dirt path lead us to an awesome view that overlooked the Brazos river where we started our shoot. Despite the heat we made the best of it as we made our way through various locations on the ranch.

Ramsey Boys

The first time I met the Ramsey's was when mom was expecting the youngest boy. We've photographed these brothers many times through the years in various locations. Studio, Chandor Gardens, their home, and this time the depot in Weatherford. It was a good change.

Normal with just a little contrast on the edges.

Same image with low color and aged filter around edges.

Amber & Mychal

Amber & Mychal were married on June 17, at Willow Lake Gardens. That entire week the weather channel threatened us with a rain forecast on their day. Luckily we had a perfect overcast evening great for photos. They both were so nice and very easy to work with. Thanks guys!

Courtney, Todd & Caul

After graduating in1997 from TSTC in Waco, we started our photography business. My first paying photo session was of three small children that took place in my parents living room. Courtney was one of the kids that I did that day in 1997. Twelve years later I'm still doing photos of Courtney & family. Here's a few photos from their session last week.
