Help Casey James Fund His Latest Record

CLICK HERE to view and donate to the recording of Casey's new album.

Casey James is a Texan musician that played local venues for 11 years before he was ‘discovered’ on American Idol. After placing 3rd on the once popular television show, he was signed to Sony Music Nashville, and co-produced his debut album which landed at #2 on the US country chart. His first single went top 20 on the country charts, and his follow up single went top 15. While touring extensively on his own, Casey also landed the opening slot for Sugarlands’ “Incredible Machine” tour, Alan Jackson, and Taylor Swifts’ “Red” tour. He released “Fall Apart” as a lead single to a new record that Sony would later decide not to release. Shortly afterward, Casey and Sony split ways. Now an independent artist, Casey is looking to record, release and tour with his latest and most uninhibited music yet.
“Everything has it's time and place. I couldn’t have made this record 6 years ago. I couldn't have made this record even 2 years ago. The timing is right, and I'm just excited to share where I'm at musically with everyone."

Did You Know #14

Did you know we offer wedding photography?

Upon graduating from TSTC in 1997, we started our photography business. I spent the following 8 years working a regular full time job while continuing to build clientele and a descent portfolio. In 2005 I began to realize that there was enough business where I could concentrate solely on the photography. I feel extremely blessed by the support through the years. So, thank you to all our past wedding/portrait clients who have trusted Felts Photography with with capturing your memories.
We're proud of the studio space we have on the square which has a shooting room and a gallery of samples and albums for wedding clients to look at. We highly encourage you have a sit down consult with your potential photographer before signing a contract. If you or someone you know is planning an upcoming wedding, please give us a call at 817-613-1439 to schedule a (no obligation consultation. We can't wait to meet you!

Weatherford, Texas: Then & Now

In January I began a project called 'Then & Now'.    The idea was to use some of the amazing old photographs taken in Weatherford from the early 1900's and duplicate them in todays condition.   For this to happen, it would require me to stand in exactly the same location the original photo was taken and shoot a current one. It's imperative that the all the corners of the buildings match and columns match up etc. Otherwise the transition from the old to new photo wouldn't work.

I have been amazed at how well received this personal project has been. Since I posted the first video in January there have been over 43 thousand views between all three in the series. Very flattering for sure. I hope to continue doing more of these in the future. Below is the playlist for all the 'Then & Now' videos.

Here are the still photo images for you to get a better look.

Baby Food Challenge

Jenna has been begging me to do a ‪#‎BabyFoodChallenge‬ so she bought all the baby food and that's what we did. I feel bad that we fed our babies this nasty stuff and then we laughed when they would gag. Well, now we know why. haha

Did You Know #12

Did you know that Felts Photography had been in business for 17 years before having an official brand/logo?

Yes, it's true. Looking back, I am pretty ashamed that I never took the time to create or decide on a logo to help our business grow. Through the years we simply used various fonts on our brochures and marketing materials. BORING!

Well, last year I enlisted a good friend of mine to throw some ideas at me. At the time my buddy worked in advertising and has years of experience in this area so I knew he was the person to ask.  I have had so many people comment about how the logo really sets our work apart and is a recognizable brand. When I asked one client how they found us, she replied "I just kept seeing this red F&P on all these photos on FaceBook"  That sure gave me a great feeling. I imminently text my friend to let him know his creation was being noticed, and how much I appreciated his help.

Did you know that a couple of Parker County guys have a popular podcast with a huge following?

Cam Hale and Kyle Philson's podcast is called Expanded Perspectives and as stated on their web site, Expanded Perspectives represents individuals inclined to form one’s own opinions rather than depend upon academics or authorities; especially about ancient cultures, conspiracy theories, science, cryptozoology, social and religious issues. Their open minded views allow them to consider all possibilities regardless of how strange or unusual. They invite you to come with them as they explore the many stories, studies and topics through podcasts, interviews, books, blogs and news/magazine articles.

A friend of mine who also has a podcast (Pair of Spades) had mentioned these two guys and the unique but fascinating content they share.  I couldn't wait to check it out and was stoked to see they had nearly 150 different podcasts.  I soon realized, living in a small town that I actually knew of them but had no idea they even did this. I just wanted to share this with you all. Enjoy!
